clitic pronouns??
hey just wondering if someone could help me out because i'm having a bit of trouble figuring out when what type of clitic pronoun is meant to be used, for example:
"Después de pasar por inmigración, donde los atendieron muy amablemente y no les revisaron más que un baúl de todo el equipaje que traían"
here "los" is used and then "les" is used, but why is this the case? because I would think that they should be either both los or both les because they are both refering to "them", also i get a bit confused when i should use "la" instead of "le" as a clitic pronoun, any help would be grreat thanks,

The fact that the les/los refers to them has no bearing.
I shot him. him is the d.o. of the verb
I gave it to him. "him is the i.o. of the verb. [more grammatically correct..I gave him it., but not how it is normally phrased.]
That is exactly what takes place in your sentence.
....donde los atendieron muy amablemente
...where they treated them very kindly [attended to them] Them is a d.o. of the verb's action.
...no les revisaron más que un baúl de todo el equipaje
... [for them] they didn't check more than one trunk from all the baggage.
them is an indirect object [dative of interest] The trunk is the d.o. of the verb check.
