In grade school, there was a group of us (the smarty-bootses) who delighted in presenting perfectly understandable English-language monstrosities to our teachers. We had a lot of fun composing these, and I have been having a lot of fun trying to translate them into Spanish .... For example, Nonetheless, even though however and maybe maybe may be salient (even though hackneyed) they should nevertheless never be combined in one and the same sentence just the same. I guess this might be: [No obstante]/[Sin embargo], aunque sin embargo y tal vez tal vez pueden ser importantes (aunque son usados demasiado) deben sin embargo en ningún caso ser combinados en una y la misma frase, [exactamenta misma]/[todos iqual]. Derecha? Izquierda? Way off the mark?? Your comments are anticipated with ... trepidation ...
