I am wondering how, in spanish, i could say 'I have already been there two times'.

I have managed to work out 'Ya he ido alli dos veces...'

But I was wondering whether the 'Ya' is in the correct place.

Hello and welcome to the SpanishDict forum

Well done for making an effort to work it out yourself in the first instance! Most of it is correct!.

However, I think it should be:

Ya he estado allá dos veces.

= 'I have already been there two times'.

Estado = been (past participle from the verb estar = to be; ido = gone (Past participle from the verb to go )

There are 3 words for there ahí and allí are used for things that you can see and point to.I think I ahí is for things that are teh closest to you but I am not sure if this distinction is correct. allá is for things that are distant and not so precise like another country

I have used allá because you have not given us a clear context to show us what there refers to. If there refers to something you can see or point out it is likley to be either ahí or allí.

I hope this helpssmile
