Estoy haciendo una traducción técnica y no encuentro el significado de "Swage" - la frase dice asi: Boiler tubes behind swage reductions are one of the toughest areas to inspect today. la unica traduccion que encontre dice que es "estampar" pero ne me suena correcto......alguien me puede ayudar'

to swage a boiler tube, is to press the tube into the boiler head tube opening. the tube opening in the head is tapered. when the tube is pressed into the opening it is compressed on the end to form a seal. this is called swaging. i assume that inspecting for any problems with a swaged tube installation is what is being refferred to here.
