Te quiero como limon y sal - is this an idiom
is this like 'I love you wart and all'?

In the context of this cute song by Julieta Vanegas, it means "I want you / like you just the way you are -plain and without any fancy cooking or processing" (metaphorically speaking). Lemon and salt are the simplest possible condiments for a minimalist tasty meal.
In other words, don't change, don't add anything to yourself, don't try to be fancy. You're just fine the way you are.
So, it's not a common idiom then? So it's a song lyric by Julieta Venegas. Is there a saying that means the same as 'I love you warts and all'?
Thanks
I would relate this to the phrase in English, "It's a love hate relationship". ![]()
EDIT: However... reading Gekko's answer, this is probably not right. His makes more sense explained, and the more I try to explain this the less sense it makes. ![]()
I think it's like saying, I love you no matter what, through thick and thin.
