I'm studying to become a spanish interpreter for the state courts of South Carolina. Does anybody have any advise to help me better prepare?

Just go to those pay for conferences/workshops that they offer and practice the material they give you at home and the techniques, speaking into a microphone and recording while you are listening to some passage. They give you a lot of material- best to go to a workshop that offers simultaneous and consecutive practice. Sight translation is usually "high register" another name for fancy technical ,law words and just try to find some material like that. There may be some on the internet. If you know any lawyers well, you can go to their office and they'll let you go through their cases for practice.
