I had a fantastic pork and sweet potato dish in Mexico city and I can't remember the Spanish name, but it translated in English as "dirty tablecloth". Can any one tell me the name of this dish in Spanish so I can find it? Thanks

"Dirty tablecloth" translates into "mantel sucio" but I am not familiar with any dish/plate by that name. But there is a dish called manchamantel or mancha mantel, where mancha means "stain" and mantel means tablecloth. Here are some pictures of manchamantel:

Me gusta comida mexicana . . . Quizas, que lastima. ¿Debería haber una "la comida del día" como "La Palabra del Día"? - - Xocoyote, Feb 1, 2012
