How do you say "by far"?

I'm trying to translate a quote from my favorite tv show, and although I've got most of it, I'm stuck on one point. The quote is, "Bravery is by far the kindest word for stupidity, don't you think?" and I'm not certain what to use for "by far".

wilcoof:

I think that's totally wrong.

by far = por lejos

from far/from afar = de lejos

by far in sentences for context

Our dictionary mentions por lejos, con mucho, en muchos, con diferencia

far and away the best -> el mejor con diferencia or por lejos (RP)

"con diferencia" or just "lejos", first one is more Spanish, second is more South American. A sample from Collins dictionary: "Rosa es, con diferencia, la más guapa" / "Rosa es lejos la más guapa" -- Rosa is by far the prettiest. Never heard "por lejos" in fact, sounds more like direct translation from English.
