The correct way is: ¿Qué hubo? Farallon is rigth and it can be translated as: What happened?

Hubo comes from Haber

I'm an English learner, here's my attempt, please correct me if I am wrong smile

¿Qué hubo? ¿Qué se ha sabido? - What happened? Is there some news?

Nada. Siguen con ella ahí adentro. - Nothing, they are still with her inside the room.

At least in Colombia 'Quiubo' is a greeting, people come to a site and say 'quiubo' and other persons (other colombian grin) say 'quiubo' or 'hola', etc.

¿Quiubo? is the slang of = ¿Qué hubo?

"¿Qué hubo?" is slang in itself. I don´t think it´s possible to have a slang version of a slang expression - this sounds a bit redundant.

"¿Quiubo?" is simply a misspelling of "¿Qué hubo?" Granted, it sounds this way when spoken quickly.

Another form of this idiom is "¿Qué húbole?"

es una forma de saludar como decir: hola o que pasa. it is a form of greeting, like hello, or what has happened
