Libre

free, spare, clear

This thread is kindly moderated by Dr, Vicente. Please correct your posts according to Dr. Vicente's indications and suggestions, and of course use the corrections to learn from your errors! smile.

Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
• Captions with 3 words or less
• Paragraphs should not be longer than 1 1/2 lines but can have up to 3 line for practice.
• Posts which make no sense in either language
• Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
• Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
• Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish
Please refrain from overloading with graphic content (ie; bold smileys, etc). It makes it harder for the correctors to be able to read your posts…. )

My Example:

Siempre quiero tener un día libre, pero si tuviera mañana libre, estoy seguro de que el día pasaría volando…..Es muy triste….

I always wish for a day off, but if I had tomorrow off, I am sure the day would fly by – it’s very sad…

La libertad no es libre simplemente porque la factura fue enviada a otra persona.

Freedom is not free just because the invoice was sent to someone else.

Bandit..look at your sentence in Spanish again..note that your first verb of your either/or sentence is conjugated..therefore you must conjugate the first verb in the second part! - drvicente, Jan 31, 2012

Todo el mundo quiere ser libre para hacer cualquier cosa, pero esto no es una muy buena idea. Hay siempre unas cosas que no debemos hacer.

Everyone wants to be free to do anything, but this is not a very good idea. There are always some things which we should not do.

Deseo consumir chocolate y todavía poder ser libre de la culpa. (you don't need subjunctive here..you use the infinitve because there is no change in subject!) - drvicente, Feb 1, 2012
