Arepas Recipe for Project

Arepas Recipe for Project

Here's my rough draft for a recipe about Arepas, a native Venezuelan corn cake dish. Input is apreciated. wink

Sirva inmediatamente.

Las manos.

Si la masa se raja....

A calor moderado

Cuando (no accent) todas las tortas (these are not pasteles!) estén doradas (not marrones!), muévalos a una lata de hornear, y hornee (no need for el horno, that's redundant).

This is one way to make arepas. Not how I learned while I was in Venezuela, but there are many different ways to go about it. You can find plenty of videos to show different techniques, in Youtube. grin

This is how they are made in restaurants.

Thanks for the input! I know there are lots of different ways to make arepas; when I searched them, I was surprised at how many results there were. It took me forever to track down some masarepa to make some authentic arepas. I already turned in the project, but it's nice to know Spanishdict has a helpful Spanish learning community. If I could give you a vote, I would! grin

Not that I'm fishing for votes, or that it makes a big difference - but I'm curious: why can't you? :-) - Gekkosan, Feb 1, 2012
Apparently I need 15 rep to vote for answers. Sorry.... - cookies-r-us, Feb 1, 2012
