Trattoria = cantina?

¡Hola a todos! My mind has gone completely blank and I just couldn't think of an equivalent of the Italian trattoria in Spain. Is a cantina the same thing?

On google translate I see that the Italian word trattoria is the same as the Spanish word taberna.

I think cantina is a canteen, i.e. a rather horrible place for feeding the workforce. As I can hardly ever afford to eat out, I'm not to be trusted. I would just go to a bar, in Spain, they nearly always serve tapas etc. If I went to Italy, I would expect more from the trattoria, put it that way..
