Hispanic Anomaly
I have to give a presentation on a hispanic anomaly. The only thing I can think of is that tequila is made is Guadalajara, Mexico but no one from there drinks it. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Wow, now that is a really funny thing to say, runner, jejeje, Mexicans don't drink tequilla, I love it! ![]()
Anyway, I wonder what your teacher meant by that, we do not have any anomaly, we are perfectly NORMAL![]()

The only time I ever drank tequila (I didn't much care for it) was at a friend's house in Guadalajara.
a·nom·a·ly (-nm-l) n. pl. a·nom·a·lies 1. Deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule. 2. One that is peculiar, irregular, abnormal, or difficult to classify: "Both men are anomalies: they have . . . likable personalities but each has made his reputation as a heavy" (David Pauly). 3. Astronomy The angular deviation, as observed from the sun, of a planet from its perihelion.
Google can be a help to you here. If you Google hispanic anomaly, you will find research that male hispanic youth in the U.S. have a lower mortality rate than their white and black counterparts. Also, that Cubans are assimilated and experience political incorporation into the mainstream culture of the U.S. to a greater degree than other hispanic cultures. Both are described as anomalies.
I would probably go for something that Hispanics do that other people around the world don't (or seldom) do.
Heidita, don't we all think we're normal and others are not normal, if they don't happen to behave the same way we do? ![]()
I'll drink to that
