Ancient helmets (or old military helmets) are hard hats (or construction helmets), too.

(When I was a child it was compulsory for all women to wear a hat to church and each town had it's own milliner.)

Sometimes when I am walking in the blazing sun, I wish sombreros were still in style.

It is not the hat which matters, but (it is) the head which wears it.

This is the proverb as I learned it, but I think it should be "but it is what is in the head which wears it." ?? oh oh alt text

It is very difficult to wear two hats, and be true to two bosses.

I hope this works in Spanish.

I don't know which is worse, the hat or the eye make-up.
