"Informal commands with directo objects"

Hi,

My question pertained to the informal commands in the subjunctive with an indirect object attached to the end.

For example= Tráigale

I understand that if there is more than one syllable you need to add an accent, but what is the rule? Is it just the first vowel? Where does the accent go when the indirect object is attached?

The accent goes where the stress would be if there weren't a direct object attached.

Using your example: Tráigale = Traiga + le. In the word "traiga", the accent naturally falls on the first syllable ("trai"). We want it to stay that way when we add on the direct object. That's how we get Tráigalo.

Sorry, meant Tráigale at the end. - Goldie_Miel, Jan 27, 2012

informal affirmative

tráele

informal negative

no le traigas

If you are speaking about the subjunctive mood form with informal commands you must be speaking about negative commands and with negative commands the pronoun is not attached.

tráigale is the formal affirmative command with a pronoun attached.
