I need a quick answer if possible. The translator give 3 different versions and I need it to be correct.

Hey, we do what we can. Translations are not always that easy. - cogumela, Jan 27, 2012

Hi, designbysue!

This is not easy to translate, and it depends strongly on the context.

Para mí los errores son bienvenidos.

(emphasises the fact that you, unlike others, welcome mistakes)

Doy la bienvenida a los errores

(It could be understood as that you want other people to make mistakes (??) or maybe that you know that people are going to make them, or is it that you don't care that people make them??? Careful with what you want to express, this one is tricky)

Los errores son bienvenidos.

(Emphasises that you think that making mistakes is not a bad thing)

Tell us what you mean with this sentence, or the context. Otherwise, it's very hard to give you advice.

"It could be understood as that you want other people to make mistakes..." I think might be a little more natural sounding (similar to how you ended the sentence). :-) - Stadt, Jan 27, 2012
Good explanation!! (as usual...) - RaulSpaniard, Jan 27, 2012
Definitely "could" as Stadt said. Only, I'd probably say "...as you wanting other..." - Goldie_Miel, Jan 27, 2012

Thank you for your responses. I ended up using "Doy la bienvenida a errores", one of the translations from Spanish Dict. I had a Spanish lesson at 1:15 and wanted to give my teacher a shirt with this printed on it because she is always saying it to me. I used the phrase, left out one of the "r"s in errores and "corrected" it with an arrow and the "r" printed above the work. She loved it! and what made it the best is that to a true Spanish speaker the phrase may not be the way they would express the idea, yet it is correct.

(as explanation, she says it when I get frustrated that I didn't say or write something correctly as we can learn from the mistakes.)

I love Spanish Dict - I am learning so much. Thanks!

Not a bad try, but again, that sentence is very confusing. I'm not really sure what it means. - cogumela, Jan 27, 2012
