Good simple readers?

I'm beginner/intermediate borderline, looking for books to buy. I enjoyed the cartoon story in Easy Spanish, got a 'Easy Spanish Reader' (Tady) which is quite good, any further suggestions? I wouldn't mind translated Tintins, but they are too expensive. Just light reading for enjoyment. Many thanks, Julie

I am currently reading"Ya Soy Grande" by Roberto Avaria. I would recommend it. It is a novel, written from the prospective of a 6 year old. Its fun to read.
