I guess you are referring to the idiom ''a piece of cake'' as in ''It's a piece of cake'' = It's very easy/it's a breeze/it's a walk in the park. wink smile grin

está chupado = It's a piece of cake

estaba chupado = It was a piece of cake

However, if you were looking for the literal meaning...here it is: raspberry tongue rolleye

You can say: Es (fue) un pedazo/ trozo de torta = It is (was) a piece of cake

I hope this helps grin

Estuvo, maybe? No sé :P - Goldie_Miel, Jan 26, 2012
Goldie I found it in our Phrase book lol :) It was written as estaba :) - FELIZ77, Jan 26, 2012
Oh. Well, carry on :) lol - Goldie_Miel, Jan 26, 2012
''Estaba chupado'' was in the phrasebook. I assumed that the present indicative would also take the verb estar - FELIZ77, Jan 26, 2012
You were right to use it. "Está chupado" is in the dictionary, too. - Goldie_Miel, Jan 26, 2012
thanks for your answer. That does help! - t1funnyface, Feb 1, 2012
