Intentar means to try .

Estoy intentándolo.

So say you were talking about trying to learn how to drive a stick shift and you explain to someone that you are trying to learn this very task . "I am trying it" -Estoy intentándolo.

Does that make sense?

You might want to mention that the verb is conjugated into continuous and that "lo" while attached to the verb means "it" although "attempting" might be a better translation of the verb in your example - 005faa61, Jan 26, 2012

If you look up intentar in the dictionary, all your questions will be answered.
