If I am translating directly, the phrase does not make sense. I would like to know the Spanish equivalent (if it exists) of ´light refreshments.´ This is for a program where fruit and maybe juice will be available. Any input is greatly appreciated!

HI NIna, welcome to the forum, you only need to say refreshments, I wonder if refreshments can be other than light?

habrá refrescos

Se orecerán refrescos.

I will answer this by giving you an example sentence: wink

Nos sirvieron un pequeño refrigerio

= They served us light refreshments or a snack

I hope this helps grin

Example sentence courtesy of Oxford Spanish Dictionary (3rd Edn) page 76 ..Heidi,. so if it is incorrect you can blame them this time....not me since I copied it down correctly ! lol hahaha raspberry tongue rolleye LOL
