what does hurra mean exactly?

This is my first question in SpanishDict.com.

I was learning some expressions about rewarding comments. I thought 'hurra' meant 'hurray', but according to the dictionary, 'viva' means 'hurray .'

Could you help, please?

!Gracias¡

"Hurra" is an abreviation of "hooray" or "hurray" which is an interjección of encouragement

hooray (for sb/sth) = ¡viva! (algn/algo)

A "Hooray Henry" is a kind of derogatory slang for a "toff"

"Hurra(r)" is how the "upper classes" pronounced Hooray grin
