"H" is always silent in Spanish, unless it is next to C "Ch"

  • "Ch" used to be one letter of the alphabet in Spanish called, "Ache" but some people couldn't get the idea and it was deleted as a "single letter" Similar to Ll and rr.

la "H" es muda, no suena. Ejemplo Hola se pronuncia ola.

Think about the English word Knock. The first K is silent. The H in Spanish is silent as well.
