Happy New Year, Melissa!

Año Nuevo Chino en Madrid. Festival de la Primavera. 2012 Año del Dragón

I forgot to tell everybody I had actually been to the Puerta del Sol where the celebration started.

Then there was a big scenery in the Plaza España, lots of stands with food and clothes and everybody seemed to have a lot of fun.

The Chinese are very appreciated in Madrid at least and you could see a lot of Spanish people participating in the fun.

And you could see lots of Spanish flags in the parade, something you can hardly ever see when it is a Spanish celebration.

Happy Chinese new year Mellisa, I saw in a Chinese new year when I was in Hong Kong in 1956, I see this year is the year of the dragon well I was born in 1936 so what does that make me (apart from old).
