Torta - slap in the face?

Question

This movie is supposed to be dubbed in Mexico.

Capitán es una torta, no le va a pagar.

So I look up torta here and see "slap in the face".

In Mexico it's sandwich (not a cake) but does it also work for slap in the face?

If this is a true story, I would have to say the woman, sadly, had good reason to slap you. "Güey" is street slang used mostly, if not exclusively, among guys. And it´s not used by people of good social education.

We have discussed the word "torta" plenty of times before in the Forum. I'm sure that if you do a search you'll find the result enlightening.

it's one of those words that means lots of different things, and also something different in almost every country.

Ok, creo "dar una torta" sería "dar una bofetada"

I recommend you try it in Sweden, tårta is delicious, especially gräddtårta. (cream cake).
