Grammar questions from the "One Room" exercise (Solved)
Hello!
I just had a few questions about corrections made on my post. ![]()
soy una vampiresa
I put "vampira"... I have seen it before, but is incorrect? Or is this maybe something like "la poeta" and "la poetisa"? SOLVED
Tengo algo de mis fotografías colgadas
I had "algo de mi fotografía" -- meaning some of "my photography". I didn't want to put "my photos".
Would this be okay?
Thank you very much!!!

Tengo algo de mis fotografías colgadas
That is actually a wrong correction, it must be
algunas de mis fotografías...
In any case, I don't really know much about photography, maybe in artistic circles they do say "mi fotografía"
My problem is "mis fotografías" is not the same as "mi fotografía".
Photography is an art vs normal photos that someone has taken. If I were to say "my photos", that could mean that I took them or perhaps that they were given to me, or perhaps they are just random photos with horrible exposures.
:D
When I search around I find phrases like:
¿Qué opinas de mi fotografía? ¿Cómo colocar mi fotografía en mi pérfil? Mi fotografía sacada con mi Nokia...
So, what do you guys think?
There is not such a word as "vampira" in Spanish unless Vampira is a name.
- The feminine of Vampiro is Vampiresa. Same like Duque = Duquesa, Príncipe = Princesa, etc.
- Tengo algunas de mis fotografías colgadas, or tengo colgadas algunas de mis fotografías.
I have seen "vampira" before, but I don't think it is the correct form. The word vampiresa is in the dictionary, so I would go with that one. About the second one I would say "algunas de mis fotografias".
