Para que? So that?

Para que? So that?

Hi.

I would like to say: "you still need to talk very slowly so that I can understand you."

My guess would be: "Todavía tienes que hablar muy despacio para que puedo te entiendo."

my first question is should I use "para que" here? If so, should I use the subjunctive of poder instead of puedo?

Second, should I say "tienes que" or "necesitas" for have to/need to?

And last, should I use entender or comprender?

I have such trouble with proper word choice!

Gracias!

"para que" requires subjuntivo and "poder" requires infinitive so your sentence would be

"Todavía tienes que hablar muy despacio para que pueda entenderte."

or

"Todavía tienes que hablar muy despacio para que te pueda entender."

and it's "entender" because you can't use "comprender" as in "hear someone properly", "understand the content of somebody's speech"

I think that" para que puedo" equates to "in order that I can" (so that I can)
