Where is this accent from

The speaker in this video, from about seconds 30 and on, where do you think he might be from? What kind of accent is this? I think it is very nice haha.

I have asked some native speakers and got different answers...

Any input would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!! : )

Edit: I have asked friends from Colombia, Argentina, and Chile and none of them know. haha

Primero pensé en Argentina, pero yo diría que no pronuncia la "ll" como lo hacen allí, así que tal vez pueda ser venezolano Voy a preguntarle a un amigo argentino, a ver si me lo puede confirmar

I can't pinpoint it either, but I am fairly sure that: A. It's South American, and B: It's not Venezuelan, Mexican, Peruvian, Colombian, or Caribbean in any way. My bet is for Uruguay or Paraguay.

Hmmm. Not Spain; the use of the seseo rules out the northern half of the country and the pronunciation of most of the "s's" rules out Andalucia. Not Mexican; it lacks the characteristic "rhythm" of the Mexican speech. Not Southern Cone/Rio Platense (extreme South America) the "standard" pronunciations of 'll' and 'y' (well, one of the standard pronunciations) rule them out. Not Carribean; they drop (tragar/aspirar) most "s's" and the speaker only does that occasionally.

On the whole, the speech is quite clear. I have heard that in Columbia they speak very "good" Spanish but I've never been there. (On the other hand,. in almost every country that I've visited they insisted that they spoke the best Spanish).

P.S. I've never been to Peru but while in Chile I saw a number of comments (in newspapers) to the effect that Peruvian "niñeras" were much in demand because they (the chilenos) believed that they (las peruanas) spoke "better" Spanish.

Even though it doesn't really reflect the truth, but the guy who posted that in youtube is from Mexico.

I am accustomed to hear Mexican TV through Univision in the US. I am almost certain that he's Mexican.

Good point...and I am sure you listen to more Mexican speakers than me haha. But all the Mexicans I have heard don't sound like this. The s's and u's, and especially the o's at the end of words stand out to me... - kelar, Jan 20, 2012

Because he speaks so clearly and slowly it is my opinion that he is not Mexican.

From what I have noticed about the people here is that everyone speaks differently. Some speak way too fast, and some speak and a slower speed. I really don't think it has anything to do with where you are from really. - NikkiLR, Jan 20, 2012

As I have never been to the Americas I base the answer on the content rather than the accent.
