Me preocupo, Pero por qué es No te preocupES?

I am confused, why people say No te preocupes? I think it would be Me preocupo, te preocupas, se preocupa. Pero por qué es No te preocupES?

Because it's a command and a negative one at that - 'no te preocupes' - don't worry!

Negative commands usually use the same form as the present subjunctive - have a look here at the bottom of the form Preocupar (this isn't the pronominal form but the preocupe part is the same.

Or as Ale kindly pointed out under my post it would be 'te preocupe' if it appeared in a sentence that required the present subjunctive and referred to something in the second person sing.

espero que esto no te preocupe

I hope that that doesn't bother/worry you

• the preocupe is in the second person singular form of the subj mood because it refers to 'esto' not to you 'te'

A mí me parece que está incompleto. Lo normal sería: ? "Que eso no te preocupe" = Preocupe no lleva tilde porque se está haciendo referencia a eso, que puede ser una situación que te está causando estrés o preocupación. ? "No te preocupes" o "no se preocupe" = En el primer ejemplo te están tratando de "tú" (tuteando), por eso preocupes lleva la letra s . En el segundo, te están tratando de "usted" (ustedeando) y por eso no lleva la s al final del verbo.

Esa es la explicación que puedo dar por el momento. Espero que sea útil. ???
