Fireworks? Mpl? What is Mpl?

I'm trying to say "Hay competencias, atracciones que ver y visitar, y desde luego muchas flores. Al final de la fiesta hay "a great big fireworks show"
and our dictiionary has "fuegos mpl artificiales " for fireworks. What is mpl?

That would be :
masculine, plural noun
"Hay competiciones, atracciones que ver y visitar, y desde luego muchas flores. Al final de la fiesta hay un gran castillo de fuegos artificiales

the mpl is telling you that it is masculine plural. It probably also says it is a noun somewhere close by. Fuegos artificiales = fireworks. also in Mexico they use the word cohetes for fireworks.
