How to say "I'd rather die first" in Spanish?

I recently heard the expression "Primero muerto" used to mean "I'd rather die first" or "Over my dead body". I was wondering if it is correct, and if so, what would a woman say? Primera muerta? Thanks in advance.

Primero muerto/Primera muerta literally means "first dead." So, technically, yes, it is correct.

I'd rather die first - Prefiero morir primero.

Over my dead body - Sobre mi cadáver.

After trying to learn Spanish for about 2 years now, I'd say "subjuntivo" pretty much sums it up.
