How do you say "Let's see" in Spanish?

Question

I this has already been asked before, but not for the meaning I use it for. I often tag "let's see" the front of a sentence when I'm about to answer a question. So I guess I'm kind of saying I'm kind of saying "well, let's think about this" or "let's figure this out".

I'm just trying figure out all my wonderful English word whiskers.

Anyway.

déjame ver........ = let me see........

a ver = we'll see or lets see

Here's what interesting regarding déjame ver..... you can say déjame when using first person, but once you go into "us" you hit on what Heidita is saying "Veamos" and NOT dejanos ver. - jeezzle, Jan 17, 2012

Isn't that the case for all verbs jeez? I mean dejame is in the imperative here. When we use the imperative for 'us' don't we use the 1st person plural present subjunctive? - billygoat, Jan 17, 2012
