Will I be able to speak Spanish fluently?
I'm puerto rican , and I'm the only one in my family that cannont speak Spanish , I would like to know will I be able to learn Spanish fluently and what is the time spand.

If you have family speaking the language then you have a great advantage. You will need to practice and study a lot. It's different for everybody but I don't know how anybody could gain fluency with only a couple of years of work. I don't really know because I'm not there yet. I would think that if everything fell right for you (plenty of study time and plenty of family time or other speaking opportunities) then I would expect three years. ??? I don't really know but I am learning about how much work it takes. It's a lot. It's not about memoring phrases.
But I also believe in remaining creative throughout life, and learning a language is creative. It's challenging. It keeps the brain sharp. It expands your world. It really depends on you and what you want to do.
I do think that as far as Internet learning resources go SpanishDict is the best. You should be able to plug into it and plug into your family and do quite well.
