Special thanks to Miro for the idea for this word

This thread is kindly moderated by drvicente. Please correct your posts according to drvicente’s indications and suggestions, and of course use the corrections to learn from your errors! smile.

Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
• Captions with 3 words or less
• Paragraphs should not be longer than 1 1/2 lines but can have up to 3 line for practice.
• Posts which make no sense in either language
• Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
• Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
• Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish
Please refrain from overloading with graphic content (ie; bold smileys, etc). It makes it harder for the correctors to be able to read your posts…. )

My Example:

Creo que es terrible cuando alguien se cae. Entonces ¿por qué todo el mundo se ríe a carcajadas cuando esto pasa?

I think it is terrible when someone falls down. So why does everyone roar with laughter when it happens?

Humans are often pretentious and not "real"? When the bubble of illusions bursts it causes a big surge of energy that expresses as laughter (being glad to see the bubble burst)? - Pablo-Peligroso, Jan 15, 2012
jeje - thanks for the explanation!! :) - 001a2987, Jan 15, 2012
ould "so" instead of "then" sound a bit better? - dewclaw, Jan 16, 2012
I hadn't thought of that Dew, but you are probably right - so might sound a bit better.... :) - 001a2987, Jan 16, 2012
When I see this it reminds me of falling on the ice, ouch. - MaryMcc, Jan 18, 2012

La carcajada es contagiosa... cuando se empieza es muy difícil detener parar.

Not sure if "empezar" or "comenzar" should be used... I haven't figured out the difference, yet. :) - Tosh, Jan 15, 2012
Both are correct, but I think "empieza" sounds better. And I think you should use "parar". - Cordobesa, Jan 15, 2012

Tosh, I replied to your pm but I'm not sure if it went through. It's not in my sent folder. :-/ - hollyjollyberry, Jan 15, 2012

La risa es bueno para la salud. Creo que, de vez en cuando, todo el mundo debería soltar una carcajada.

With drvicente's corrections:
