Spelling Checker

Question

Is there a spell checker add-on that can be used to check posts before posting. Or even better can one be added as an intregal part of the site?

If you use one please provide links or addresses.

Well it depends what browser you use. Both Firefox and Opera now allow you to add a spell checker by right clicking on a text field, ticking "check spelling" going to "languages" and then "add languages" (that's with Firefox, it's slightly different with Opera, who, for the record, were the first ones who made it so simple)

It's possible with Chrome as well, you have to go to the chrome add on page. Google it!

If you use Internet Explorer.. Don't! Just last month I couldn't print my boarding pass because the local library only had Internet Explorer and it couldn't understand the Airline's website - rabbitwho, Jan 13, 2012

Luckily windows firewall is equally bad and I was able to download Firefox just by ignoring the box that said "naughty naughty, you are not allowed to download things without giving me the admin password!" - rabbitwho, Jan 13, 2012

This will be browser dependent unless you follow the awkward procedure of preparing text in some external word processor/editor. Your best bet is to do a general web-search (Google or whatever) for "spell checker" + whatever browser you're using.

I use FireFox and it has an add-in spell-checker for Spanish (which I installed). Actually, the process for activating it was not obvious to me at the time so I have never used it. On the other hand, Spanish spelling is so easy that I've never really needed it (it would, however, help in catching typos).

Rabbit. Okay I downloaded Firefox and I when I right click in this box I see the spell check and languages and I downloaded Spanish (Mexico) but it doesn't show as an available language.

Also the English spell checker doesn't do anything. HELP!

This will give you a spell checker that works in Firefox. Just google spanish language spell check for (browser name) if you use another browser.
