My Example:

There are a lot of meetings at my job, and I am sure that I have not been conscious at the end of most of the meetings.

Normally I'm not conscious of the orientation of my toilet paper, but the truth is it's very important. Search for it on Wikapedia.

This morning, I am so tired that I'm barely aware of the words I am typing. Where is my cup of coffee?

I think that it's not only human beings who have conscious minds, but also the animals.

Jraider, I srtarted with a splendid thought: Why we, so intelligent and superior, expect the animals to understand us, not the other way round? However, this posed a lot of difficulties in Spanish and I was short of time. - annierats, Jan 13, 2012
I don't think you need the subjunctive there Annie - creo que + indicative / tienen, mentes conscientes. Also I'm not sure about sino there pero seems better to me but see what Vicente says :) - Kiwi-Girl, Jan 14, 2012

Gracias Vicente, I'm pleased, I started off with the mentes in plural..I'm almost chuffed. ¡Adelante!! - annierats, Jan 14, 2012
Kiwi, gracias a tí también, I'll stay with Vicentes version, for the simple reason it's closer to my original, which makes me feel better, that's all. - annierats, Jan 14, 2012
kewl bananas, I should have thought of making the whole sentence negative so you could keep your subjunctive je je - nice one :) - Kiwi-Girl, Jan 14, 2012
Kiwi, ¡adelante! I have a new keyboard, maybe my spelling will improve? Still no spellcheck, but don't tell Heidita, I'll be thrown out. - annierats, Jan 14, 2012

If you are aware of your own shortcomings it is easier to forgive others for theirs.

Si estaré consciente, mi espíritu estará vivo. Si estaré no consciente, mi espíritu estará muerto.

If I will be conscious, my spirit will be alive. If I won't be conscious, my spirit will be dead.

Miro..hay una diferencia en español...estar consciente= to be conscious (awake) and ser consciente= to be aware...the Spanish version is fine but I think you want to say "I was not aware of what I said" and "dije" is correct preterit tense for I said. - drvicente, Jan 13, 2012
oops... I willl correct it... Thank you :) - Miro74, Jan 13, 2012
You could also say, "I don't think I was aware of what I said." - Ranman, Jan 13, 2012
