I'm sorry that my answer is alittle random, I'mnot sure what language you want to know this in.. - annierats, Jan 12, 2012
If you are a male, you only need marrón. For females and painters, we have tostado, pardo, castaño, ocre, beige, caqui, moreno, café, chocolate, siena,... - cogumela, Jan 12, 2012
That is funny Cogumela. I suppose most men around the world have a very limited vocabulary when it comes to colors. :) - Nicole-B, Jan 12, 2012
I just changed the title for clarity. :) - Nicole-B, Jan 12, 2012
¡Ja, ja, ja, ja!! ¡Qué cómica, Cogu! - Gekkosan, Jan 12, 2012

..and when the toast is burned. El pan tostado es dorado. Como me gusta.

Don't forget the como me gusta or it might get thrown at you.

Café will describe an object, a garnment: unos pantalones café.

Marrón is often asociated with eyes: los ojos marrones (o negros).

Moreno is more useful to describe the color of the skin or the hair: ella es morena, tú tienes el pelo moreno.

When you're not sure you say: Me gusta el color de (tu piel, de tus ojos, de tu falda). Good luck!

A bay horse in Spanish is a horse ' de capa castaña' .

Coffee is coffe-coloured, suntanned people ar brown or tanned but a dark brown person has to be referred to as ' coloured' for reason's of political correctness... A brown and black dog is called ' black and tan'...

Possibly I've misunderstood your question, what do you actually want to know? - annierats, Jan 12, 2012
