I am an attorney who, at times, represent Spanish speaking individuals charged with drug trafficing crimes. Often, these individuals will have a picture of someone called "Jesús Malverde" in their wallets. ¿Por qué? ¿Quién es el Señor Malverde? Querría saber más. Gracias.

I glanced at the Wikipedia article. I have an opinion I would like to express. Since you are an attorney, you deal with law and order. People try to survive. Sometimes they survive at the expense of others. The original Jesús taught virtue and compassion, but often people who practice vice and usurpation are exemplary survivors. I think that is why some look for a kind of patron saint who will bless their illegal activities.
Perhaps in your profession you can help people to see law and order in its finest light as a practice of virtue and compassion.
