Let's play a game of opposites.

I will start by giving a set of words that mean the opposite of each other. Then I will use them in a sentence in both english and spanish and then give two new words for the next person to use in sentences.

Given: Adrede and Sin Querer

Definition: Adrede = intentionally, deliberately, on purpose, Sin Querer = accidentally, without intent..

Sentences:: El me pateó adrede. He deliberately kicked me. Ella me insultó sin querer. She didn't mean to insult me.

New Pair: Amanecer y atardecer

Really good sentences. I'm not sure you need the "a" after amaba. - gringojrf, Jan 12, 2012
Amar and Odiar are verbs. Can you use them as verbs as well. The sentences above are using the nouns formed from the verbs. - gringojrf, Jan 12, 2012

The given words can be nouns or verbs. I will use them as verbs.

Amanecer = to dawn. (Noun: dawn)

Atardecer = to get dark. (Noun: dusk)

Examples:

El día amaneció y me desparté, lleno de esperanza y felicidad.

(The day dawned and I arose, full of hope and happiness).

Después de una tarde calurosa, al fin estaba atardeciendo y sentía mas cómodo.

(After a hot afternoon, finally it was getting dark and I felt more comfortable.)

New words: calor y frío.

"lod madres" should be "las madres" - gringojrf, Jan 14, 2012
Also, I was looking for opposites. Many words have more than one meaning. Here they are egoista = selfish and desinteresada = unselfish. - gringojrf, Jan 14, 2012
