Should this sentence have an indirect object pronoun?

"Por favor dar esto a su madre."

Shouldn't it be "Por favor le dar esto a tu madre." ?

I always get confused whenever I try to use the translator.

Thanks!

I think it should also be "da". - crabbycat, Jan 11, 2012

I do think you should use the anticipatory indirect object with your example:

Por favor, dale esto a tu madre.

I was taught that if the sentence contains an indirect object, an indirect object pronoun MUST be used. - crabbycat, Jan 11, 2012
Well, this is true if the sentence contains an indirect object introduced by 'a'. If introduced by 'para', you do NOT use the anticipatory IO object. - Jeremias, Jan 11, 2012
I agree you need the IDO "le" and using "dale" is correct. - gringojrf, Jan 11, 2012

I don't think it is necessary to add the pronoun, however there are other things you should note about your sentences. The verb dar should be conjugated in the imperative form.

Por favor, da esto a tu madre. (This is the tú form)

Por favor, dé esto a su madre. (This is the usted form)
