Hi there !!!

Edit: Thank you Eddy, for the corrections

We all have preferences when it comes to the way things are said. Sometimes, beyond the sentence's correctness, there is a feeling that could be improved. I believe this happens in every language; there are sentences that are considered to be ugly or tasteless, and in the same way, there are also nice ones.

I'm not trying to judge objectively how good or bad, nice or ugly a sentence is. I'm aware that this is a matter of personal preference, so please, don't take offense.

However I think it could be interesting sharing some of those set phrases, little words, or even gestures that annoy you a bit when you hear them. Just for fun!

Post in English or Spanish, whatever you prefer.

I will start with a Spanish one that I find to be veeery annoying!

Me molesta mucho que me digan:

Estamos de acuerdo ¿sí o sí?

That one in English is simply "Right?" It really gets up my nose because it is a "yes" "no" question" - ian-hill, Jan 11, 2012
