After describing Dominican suffering during years of US occupation, writer Angie Cruz writes, "En la lucha siempre, pa'lante." What do these words mean? Are they an allusion to anything in particular?

As you struggle, never cease (always go forward) ! Pa'lante is an improper, but common slang contraction of the words "Para Adelante" that means "keep on trucking" (in the USA)

Ok, great, so sounds something like, "In the fight, always go forward!" (Never say die! sort of, right?) - mjcbeijing, Jan 10, 2012
yeah that sort of thing "onwards and upwards" "fight the good fight!" sort of marshall bravura :-) - lagartijaverde, Jan 10, 2012

Thanks, but can you tell me what you think she means in this context? I can't see an English translation that covers the last part of the dedication. - mjcbeijing, Jan 10, 2012
