Some more corrections:

La Guernica representó el bombardeo de Guernica durante la Guerra Civil Española. La pintura consistió en colores oscuros y apagados que dan una sensación siniestra. La pintura abstracta mostró a la gente, a los animales () y () los edificios en caos.

(The "()" means that you should omit what was there; in this case, it's the comma.) I'm leaning toward the "a" before "los edificios" being wrong because buildings don't really fit the reasons to use the Personal "a," and Google is showing that, as an object, "los edificios" usually isn't preceded by it. But, I'm not sure that it's wrong either.

Now, this is merely stylistic, but I'd further suggest that you omit the first instance if "la pintura" and just say, "Consiste en..." and then change the remaining instance to "Esta pintura abstracta...". However, feel free to disregard this portion if you like.

I also have a question for you: Why did you write it in the past tense? Typically (at least, in English, and in Spanish Wikipedia) these kinds of descriptions are written in the "literary present" tense to show that the works of art continue to exist and relay their message. In essence, it helps show their timelessness.
