The spanish words esta, este and esto all mean "this". When are these three words used, are there rules. Is one of these words more commonly used.

The one place where spanish has a nueter word (niether male or female) as well as male and female.
Female = esta Male = este Nueter = esto.
Its another of those conspiracies to make it tough on us. Male should be esto, and Nueter should be este. But NO!!!!!!!!
