B vs. V in Spanish
The letter V (ube) is spelled as B in Spanish, for example: vale, vivir, vecino, ...etc. But there are some words that contains (v) but spelled also (v) in spanish is Spain also, like: Por favor. Is there any reason behind this?

It depends on the dialect a little I think. In Spain there is more a mix of the b/v less in Mexico. That's called Castillian Spanish by the way.

There is update to be and uve in spanish.
Another change promulgated in 2010 involved the names for b and v, which were pronounced be and ve in other words, identically, since the b and v are pronounced alike. So various ways of distinguishing between the letters were developed, and chances are you'll still hear them used. For example, sometimes B is referred to as be grande ("big B") and the V as ve chica ("little V").
Update: What I understood from this article is B is strong sound and V is the weaker sound.
