Haz y haga
I'm reviewing Spanish grammar and I can't remember when to use haz vs. haga. Is there a difference?
1 Answer
Haz vs haga
Both are imperative (command) forms of "hacer".
Haz -- Do! (you informal)
So, let's say you are parent yelling at their child, telling them to do their homework
¡Hazla!
Haga - Do! (you formal)
Essentially, haz vs. haga is the same argument as tú vs. usted. Haz is the tú command form and haga is the usted command form.
Also, don't forget haga has an additional use, which is the third person singular form of "hacer" in the present subjunctive
