How do you say "the end" in Spanish? My teacher did not want "la conclusión", so what is another way to say it?

If you are referring to how to end a story (especially in regards to fairy tales or children's stories), there is also a set expression that goes:

y colorín, colorado y este cuento se ha acabado

Basically, this amounts to something like, "And they all lived happily ever after. The end."

In books geared towards a more mature audience, however, it probably wouldn't be out of place to simply write, "Fin."

You have different answers here because you haven't provided any context.

La conclusión ...... the conclusion

The end ...... el fin

End ...... fin

In the end ...... en fin

To end ...... terminar / acabar

Films and books nearly always express "The End' simply with "Fin"

Al final is the correct phrase to say the end. El fin is incorrect according to my spanish professor at the university.
