Preterit and its trick
I´ve learnt Preterit recently and come across one thing: sacar - saqué buscar -busqué
This is true for "yo" form. Does it happen to all verbs with ending "car" in "yo" form? Or we should check preterit form each time in vocabulary?
The same question about verbs with ending "g" that changes into "gu". Thanks!

They are -car -gar -zar verbs. Its funny- I am learning this in school right now! The -car -gar -zar verbs change in the yo form only as such: -car=qué, -gar=gué, -zar=cé.
Yo busqué mi tarea.
Yo jugué golf.
Yo almorcé con mis amigos.
This happens for all car,gar,zar verbs in the preterit only, and only in the yo form.

Here's another 'trick', if you want to call it that. The first person singular for all -ar verbs in the preterite is an accented e. The sound of buscar in the preterite first person singular, when buscar becomes busqué, is completely regular. The only thing that changes is the spelling. This is bacause in Spanish, the consonant c is hard when followed by a, o, or u. When followed be e or i, the c sound is soft. So if you wrote buscé, instead of busqué, it would be pronounced like busé. In practice, that would be much more irregular than just changing the spelling to catch up to the regular sound!
