Is "internético" recognized as a Spanish word?
In some Spanish-English translators I see the word "internético" as being recognized, and in others it is not. I know that the word means "internet" in Portuguese, but would like to know: (1) Is "internético" recognized as a Spanish word? (2) If so, what is its true meaning? (3) Why would it be recognized in some Spanish translators but not in others?

internético is not in the dictionary of the Real Academia Española, which is the most "official" authority on accepted Spanish words. However, this is not to say the word is not widely used or recognized.
I see that it is found on many Spanish (in addition to Portuguese) websites, seeming to be "internet" used as an adjective.
I asked a similar question in my university level Spanish class and the answer I received was: "Internet is Internet." lol. If you want to say online, it's "en linea." As far as online translators go (and I'm just going off of personal experience here with zero technical knowledge) it's tough to get a 100%, dead on translation...mostly due to the translator's inability to understand context and some of the nuances of the language. As with most things, some are better than others...maybe that explains the inclusion of a Portugese word?
