Recibimos una acogida muy buena cuando fuimos a la reunión de los jóvenes.

We received a great welcome when we went to the youth reunion.

Here are two examples:

El candidato republicano fue objeto de la más calurosa acogida. The Republican candidate was given the warmest of welcomes.

Su idea tuvo una acogida favorable.
His idea was favorably received.
