Does everyone see the same advertisements?
I was wondering if the members not in the United States had to look at the same U.S. presidential campaign adds that we have to look at on the SpanishDict website?

Thank goodness, no we don't!
I'm sure the ad servers determine your general geographic location according to your IP address and upload appropriate ads. You may also get ads based on third party tracking cookies that follow you across the Internet, depending on your browser's cookie acceptance settings, and whether or not you regularly flush your browser's cookie cache.
Hey guys wait till you reach 4k, it gets better.
No campaign adds. What I get is related to web searches .If I look for something, next I see an add for it at this site.
I'm in the USA, but I don't get presidential campaign advertisements. What I do get all the time, though, are all three spots being taken up with the same one lol.
Does anyone else have the one that is telling you to "Find your Latin Lady"?
But Ranmanhayes to answer your question - no I only see "localised" ads..
I see lots of useful ads - lots of ads from Australian Universities and other Australian learning institutions plugging their Spanish (and other) courses - face-to-face and online as well. I've been very interested and gone into some and "investigated" ![]()
And like trip2themoon says big brother probably knows what I investigate and sends more of the same - all good ![]()
But what I don't like is that if you hover too long while passing over an ad and it starts. You CANT turn it off. Very irritating, Expecially during a lesson or flashcard. They have a restart button but not a stop button. Whats with that?
Nope, I get to look at the same "Latin Personals" ad 24/7. Seriously, it's in 4 places on this page!!! Ah, 4K you are so far away. T_T
